Announcement of the Acquisition of NIDEK MEDICAL S.R.L.

We are pleased to announce that NIDEK TECHNOLOGIES S.R.L. (Headquarters: Padova, Italy),
a subsidiary of NIDEK CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Gamagori, Aichi, Japan)
acquired 90% of the shares of NIDEK MEDICAL S.R.L. (Headquarters: Milan, Italy),
a sales and service company of ophthalmic devices,
becoming a branch of NIDEK Group on July 7th, 2022.
NIDEK MEDICAL was founded in 1991 in Italy and gained a strong leadership position in the market.
